EU AI ACT — TRANSPARENCY OBLIGATIONS APPLY NOW

Is your AI-generated ad disclosure-compliant?

The EU AI Act requires providers to disclose when content is AI-generated, and ad platforms are tightening their own labeling rules. Fines run up to €15M or 3% of global turnover. Run this free 5-point self-check on your creatives before a regulator — or a rejected ad — finds the gap first. No signup, nothing installed.

The 5-point self-check

1

Is the label visible at first glance? Open your ad and look for the AI-disclosure label within the first second. If a viewer has to hunt for it, it doesn't count.

Fail: label buried in a caption, description, or behind a "more" click.
Pass: label visible on the creative itself, instantly.
2

Does it survive cropping and re-upload? Platforms crop, compress, and re-encode. If your disclosure lives only in metadata or a caption, it dies on re-upload.

Fail: disclosure only in file metadata, alt text, or post caption.
Pass: disclosure burned into the visual or audio of the creative.
3

Is it in the viewer's language? "AI-generated" means nothing to a Spanish-speaking audience. Check every market you run in.

Fail: English-only label on ads served to non-English audiences.
Pass: localized labels (e.g. EN/ES) per market.
4

Does it survive the publishing pipeline? Pull your ad back down from the platform and check: is the label still there after their processing?

Fail: you never verified what the published version looks like.
Pass: you spot-checked the live, platform-processed creative.
5

Is it documented? If a regulator asks tomorrow, can you show which creatives are AI-generated, when they were labeled, and with what wording?

Fail: no record — it's someone's memory.
Pass: a dated log of creatives, labels, and versions.
