Article 50 Ready Badge

The EU AI Act's transparency obligations are enforceable — fines up to €7.5M or 1.5% of global turnover. If your disclosures are in place, prove it: put the badge on your site and link it to what "ready" actually means.

What "ready" covers — the 4 Article 50 scenarios

50(1) — AI interaction

Users must know they're talking to AI, not a human. Chatbots, voice agents, AI support — disclosed at first interaction.

50(2) — Synthetic content

AI-generated image, audio, video, and certain text must be marked as artificially generated — visibly to people and detectably by machines.

50(3) — Emotion & biometrics

Emotion recognition and biometric categorization systems must inform people they're being analyzed.

50(4) — Deepfakes

AI-generated or manipulated content resembling real persons, places, or events must be disclosed as synthetic.

Get ready in 3 steps

  1. Inventory — list every place AI touches your users: chatbots, generated images, voice, recommendations.
  2. Disclose — add the notice at first exposure for each scenario above. Keep a dated copy of every disclosure.
  3. Verify continuously — disclosures rot when products change. DisclosureGuard monitors yours and alerts before you drift out of compliance.

FAQ

Does the badge make me compliant?

No — it's a signal, not a certification. It tells visitors you've addressed the four scenarios and links them to what that means. Real compliance is the disclosures themselves, kept current.

When did Article 50 become enforceable?

The transparency obligations under Article 50 became applicable on 2 August 2026. Enforcement is active now.

I'm not in the EU — does this apply?

The Act applies to providers and deployers placing AI systems on the EU market, regardless of where they're based. If EU users touch your AI, check your obligations with qualified counsel.
